About

The History

AppendixSquared was born in April 2006 between two friends who were large design enthusiasts. The initial idea was to create a site in which designers can gather and create digital pieces based on given themes and challenges. The idea was canned within a few months, and AppendixSquared evolved into a place where designers can come and download a variety of resources for their own work.

In the span of the next three years, AppendixSquared kept growing and growing. The site became reknown for brushes and patterns, while textures thrived in popularity in the more intimate design community. By 2009, the site has been published in three different versions of Photoshop Creative in both the United States and Europe, as well as a copy of Digit UK.

By 2010, the domain for the website finally expired, as both designers found themselves simply too busy to regularly update the website and simply too broke to keep up the expenses.

Fastforward to October 2011. The web designer of the duo, Christina, has decided to pick up the pieces of AppendixSquared and bring it back to the public.

Not bad for two bored designers.
